How much does a project cost?

Every project is unique. Pricing depends on the type of visualization, scientific complexity, level of detail, timeline, and required deliverables. Send us a brief project description, and we will prepare a personalized quotation.
How long does a project take?

Most projects take between one and three weeks. Larger illustrations, journal covers, and motion design projects may require additional time. The final timeline is confirmed before the project begins.
What do you need to get started?

We usually need your manuscript or abstract, supporting figures, relevant scientific references, and any journal specifications. Initial sketches or visual ideas are welcome but not required.
Do I need to have a sketch or concept ready?

Yes. Each project includes revision rounds so that the scientific content, composition, and visual details can be refined collaboratively. The number of included revisions will be stated in your proposal.
Can I use the artwork after delivery?

Yes. Once the project is completed and fully paid for, you may use the final artwork for publications, presentations, grant proposals, websites, social media, and other agreed scientific communication purposes.
The artwork may not be resold, redistributed as a standalone asset, or licensed to third parties without prior written permission. Rooted in Science may display completed work in its portfolio unless confidentiality has been agreed in advance.
What file formats will I receive?

Final files are provided according to the project requirements. Formats may include TIFF, PNG, JPEG, PDF, PSD, AI, SVG, MP4, or MOV.
Can you work with confidential or unpublished research?

Yes. All unpublished materials are treated confidentially. A nondisclosure agreement can be signed before the project begins when required.
Do you offer rush services?

Yes. A rush service means completing a project faster than the standard timeline because of an urgent submission, publication, conference, or launch deadline. Rush projects may involve an additional fee depending on the required delivery date and scope.
How can I pay?

Payment options may include bank transfer, credit card, or purchase order, depending on the client and institution. Full payment details will be included in the project proposal and invoice.
What happens after the project is completed?

You will receive the approved final files in the agreed formats. Minor export or formatting adjustments may be provided when needed. Major changes, new compositions, or additional versions may require a separate quotation.
